Dr Liana Green has been working with individuals and groups for over two decades. She is a researcher and Social Worker with undergraduate degrees in Social Work and Arts (Psychology), and a Masters of Social Work (Advanced Practice) with distinction.

Completing her PhD in 2021, Liana researched the meaning-making of death in aged care and how workers share their lived experiences.
Liana worked clinically in Australia and the United Kingdom in the areas of oncology, palliative care, grief & loss counselling, and trauma counselling, having worked in a palliative care unit in London for two years and in oncology and palliative care services across two Australian states.
Liana is a researcher and academic who teaches Social Work and Gerontology at academic level.

Liana is a qualitative researcher who uses her strong communication skills to explore people's lived experiences. Combining her understanding of social inequalities and commitment to value-based practice with her qualitative research skills, Liana seeks to use research as a tool of empowerment.
As a clinical educator, Liana is passionate about using evidence based approaches to inform clinical practice. An enthusiastic trainer, Liana teaches evidenced based, engaging and interactive workshops to health and human service workers. Having worked as a Clinical Educator in Public Health, Liana has mentored over 50 Social Work students on placement, guiding workers through reflective practice skills to gain a greater understanding of themselves, their professional identity, what informs their practice choices, and pathways to person-centered care.
Trained in mindfulness practices, Liana enjoys connecting with nature and seeking out the lighter side of life.
Committed to Social Justice, Liana embraces diversity and seeks to be inclusive in her approach to work.
As a qualitative researcher, Liana is particularly committed to using research as a way of giving disenfranchised people a voice and challenging social inequality.

Using Trauma Informed approaches to understand the impact that working in Health, Human Services, and Aged Care can have on workers, Liana is passionate about supporting and caring for those in caring roles through training organizations on how to understand and support essential workers. Being an advocate of person-centered care, of living well, ageing well, and dying well, Liana believes the best approach to providing quality care comes from a resilient and supported workforce.
Liana develops individualized and unique training and mentoring programs to organizations on a range of topics such as resilience building, supporting people to die well, and responding to workers who have been exposed to critical incidents.
